Girls on Film is a photography community dedicated to supporting, mentoring, connecting, and celebrating women and women-presenting photographers. We create a safe and inclusive space where photographers can share their work, learn from one another, and grow together. We celebrate the art of photography in all its forms, from film to digital, while creating opportunities for visibility, collaboration, creativity, and belonging.

We are opening the submissions for our 2nd Annual Exhibit on Oct 10th hosted by @sandiegomadefactory
We’re inviting women and women-presenting photographers of all experience levels to share their work. Film and digital both welcome!
Up to 3 photos per photographer. Prints (unframed) must be 11x14 or smaller.

Girls on Film: Vol. 1 is a celebration of the creativity, talent, and unique perspectives within our photography community. Featuring the work of 51 women and women-presenting photographers, this inaugural zine brings together film and digital photography from hobbyists, emerging artists, and seasoned professionals. Each page reflects the individuality of the photographer behind the image while highlighting the beauty of coming together as a community. Created in San Diego, Vol. 1 is more than a collection of photographs, it’s a keepsake celebrating the people, stories, and creative energy that make Girls on Film what it is.
